Vita

Franziska Matthäus was born 1975 in Friedrichroda in Thuringia. After studying biophysics at the Humboldt University of Berlin, she spent the time of her doctoral thesis at the University of Warsaw, where she completed her dissertation in 2005, which was evaluated as "summa cum laude". 

Franziska Matthäus then moved to the University of Heidelberg as a postdoc. In 2011, she became head of the research group "Complex Biological Processes" at the Center for Modelling and Simulation in the Biosciences. In the summer semester of 2016, Dr. Matthäus then followed a call for a junior professorship at the University of Würzburg. In July 2016, she accepted the position at the Goethe University Frankfurt and FIAS.
